FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)

Smaller robot. Smaller team. A great way to get building.
https://www.firstinspires.org/programs/ftc/

FTC robots are compact and can be built using readily available robotics components and starter kits. The smaller scale makes FTC a good option for teams that want to get hands-on with all aspects of designing, building, programming, and driving their robot.

FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC)

Bigger robot. Bigger challenge. More room to engineer.

FRC robots are larger and typically require more people, equipment, workspace, and resources to design and build. The larger platform also provides more opportunities for team members to specialize in mechanical design, electrical systems, programming, strategy, and other areas.
